Will UofA have the first student Vice Chancellor?
Words by Nicholas Birchall
In a strange turn of events, former SRC President Ali Amin has today announced his candidacy for the next Vice Chancellor of The University of Adelaide.
In an email obtained by On Dit, Mr Amin expressed his interest for the position to current Chancellor Catherine Branson.
This comes days after the Australian reported that disgraced UQ Vice Chancellor Peter Hoj was a frontrunner for the role.
As On Dit understands, Chancellor Branson has stated she will be reviewing Mr Amin’s application “very closely”.
More to come as this strange story unfolds.
