Last night the AUU Board passed a COVID-19 relief package worth one million dollars as part of the broader Student Support Package from the University.

According to AUU President Stella Woo, the Student Support Package is to be focused on students’ physical and mental wellbeing, academic successes and addressing students’ urgent financial concerns.

All AUU Board Directors voted in favour of the motion.

In addition, the AUU has been working with clubs to support their transition to online events and offer relevant financial and technical support.

Furthermore, the AUU, in particular Directors Angela Qin and Tharun Rameshbabu, had been consulting with student groups to help them during the transition period.

The full details of the support package were emailed to all students last week by the Vice Chancellor.
